In your own words, at whatever length the truth takes. Facts are welcome but not required. This is your account, not a court filing.
On the record · Jackson County, Oregon
A place in the Rogue Valley to say exactly what happened to you as a renter — in your own words — and finally have someone listen.
When I left the courtroom, I felt run over and ignored — like the thing that could break my family was just something standing between everyone else and lunch. I didn't need a verdict to feel human. I needed someone to hear me.
This site is that. Not a lawyer. Not a fundraiser. Not a place that promises to fix anything. Just a place where a renter in this valley can set it all down and know it was witnessed. You say it. It stays as you wrote it. Someone reads it. That's the whole offer — and after what a lot of us have been through, it's not a small one.
Testimony
“Hey — this really hurt me. Doesn't anyone give a damn?”
The question this whole site was built to answer
Someone does. That's the point of the answer being here in writing, where you can come back and read it.
How this works
There's no form to argue with, no comment section, no one grading your evidence. Three things, and only three.
In your own words, at whatever length the truth takes. Facts are welcome but not required. This is your account, not a court filing.
A light proofread for typos, nothing more. No editing of what you said, no softening, no spin. What you see here is what you get.
It sits here on the record, next to others who went through it too. No comments, no pile-on, no uploads. Just heard.
Why this exists
A no-fault, mediated move-out — no finding that we did anything wrong — was written up as an “eviction for a serious lease violation.” That paperwork triggered the loss of a housing voucher and a three-year bar for everyone in the household. A grandmother and a four-year-old, aimed at the street, on a technicality.
The documents behind that are all here — dated, sourced, and separated from how it felt to live through it.
